QEI's classes run from August through May. What is QEI School’s daily schedule? The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. Students should arrive by 8:22 a.m. to prepare for the day. Students may be brought to the school as early as 7:30 a.m. After-school care is provided until 5:45 p.m. for an additional cost. What is QEI School’s tuition? Tuition is $6000 per year, payable based on a yearly contract with tuition payments due at the first of each month. Why are uniforms required? QEI asserts that uniformity within the student body allows students to focus on their primary objective, which is learning. (Uniforms are required only at QEI School.) Why does the community need QEI-Durham? QEI provides a safe environment for learning and where students children can learn and grow at their individual pace and be challenged to aim for excellence rather than accepting mediocrity.
Students may enter QEI School when they are 4 years old. Children may enter the Child Development Center at 12 months.
QEI currently serves students from the 4-year-old kindergarten program through the sixth grade. Children from 12 months - 4 years old may attend our preschool program at the Child Development Center.
QEI offers a tuition discount when you enroll two or more children. Please e-mail our principal for more information or call the school office at 680-6544.
We now offer a preschool for children ages 12 to 24 months, and from 2 to 4 years old, so they can take advantage of the opportunity for a solid preschool education. QEI has a kindergarten program for 4 year olds, where they become acclimated to going to school, completing assignments, and following teacher's instructions. QEI School and Child Development Center provide an academic program that fosters cooperative education utilizing the talents, knowledge, skills, and abilities of students, teachers, parents, and members of the community.
