Our identity and purpose QEI-Durham is a private school dedicated to partnering with parents and the community to provide a holistic, child-centered approach to learning, founded on truth, respect, self-discipline, honor, integrity, and love. These principles permeate the school’s curriculum and are evident in day-to-day interactions between students and their teachers.
Where we’re going Our vision is to be the premier private elementary school in the Southeast by the year 2010. The proof that we are on our way to this vision is found in the combination of our students’ classroom successes, personal growth and development, and high scores on nationally standardized tests.
What moves us forward To develop a student-centered learning community where all students are encouraged to achieve at their maximum ability through a rigorous curriculum, clearly defined standards of performance, and high expectations. Core Values QEI’s system works well, because its education environment is infused with the principles of love, truth, respect, self-discipline, honor, integrity, and community service, allowing students and teachers alike to have success in the classroom and as members of the community. QEI’s Education Fund QEI's education fund is supported by an annual golf tournament, a tradition since August 2000. Last year's tournament helped us supplement the school's lunch program, provide transportation for school field trips and outings, supplies, reading and language books for each classroom, and tuition assistance. |
