Fund Raising for QEI-Durham Parents and friends of QEI participate in various fund raising opportunities. There are many opportunities for fund raising for QEI. Many of these opportunities are passive-fund raising activities such as grocery store courtesy cards, registering your credit card so that purchases made at designated vendors provide a commission payable to the school, collecting printer cartridges, and even online shopping. Online Shopping Cafepress (This is a new program, please evaluate and contact the webmaster with your opinions). Amazon.com - Buy books and uniforms for your child and benefit QEI. You can find more links to school uniforms here. Recycling Opportunities The Funding Factory recycles cell phones, ink jet, and laser printer cartridges that have been used once (no recycled cartridges, please!). We accumulate points that we can then trade for supplies we need for the school. You can find the list of acceptable cartridges on our site. Annual Golf Tournament The Golf Tournament is a 6-year tradition for QEI. The golf tournament has netted nearly $15,000 in the past two years. The proceeds from the 2006 tournament supported Quality Parents In Action in their fund-raising campaign for playground equipment and the purchase of materials for the school's media center.
